Most creatives struggle because no one ever taught them how to think strategically, how to communicate confidently, how to price their work, or how to build a career that actually moves forward. After more than twelve years working across FMCG, beauty, packaging, brand strategy and product development, I realised something uncomfortable: Bulgarian creatives are behind because the ecosystem never gave them the tools the global market takes for granted.
Businesses here often work without a brand strategy, don’t know their audience, lack clear processes and expect designers to solve business problems alone. Freelancers fear pricing. Juniors fear clients. And everyone is overwhelmed by information but starving for direction. This book was created to address that gap with tools.
Sugar Rush is a practical handbook for people who want systems, not chaos; direction, not guessing; progress, not burnout. Inside, you’ll find how to make better creative decisions, how to talk to clients without tension, how to price using a simple three-tier method, how to learn faster, how to build a portfolio without clients and how to shift from “pretty visuals” to meaningful, strategic work. Every topic ends with a worksheet you can print, fill in digitally or use on a tablet. The entire book is designed to be written on, tested, lived with.
I wrote the book in both English and Bulgarian for a reason. The biggest opportunities live outside Bulgaria, but the biggest need for practical education lives here. We’re a small market, structurally five years behind global standards, which means we need to work five times smarter today if we want to catch up tomorrow. Sugar Rush is a bridge between the world creatives want to work in and the world they’re starting from a mix of global methods and local realism.
The title exists for a reason as well. This book is giving you that sharp, immediate mental activation the rush that gets you moving, making decisions and building momentum. It’s the guide I wish I had when I was 20, lost between talent and direction, searching for someone to explain how creative careers actually work.
Sugar Rush is for designers, marketers, creatives, founders and anyone who wants to think sharper, grow faster and step into the real-world version of this profession. No talent required. Just curiosity and the willingness to apply.
If you want the book, send me a message through the contact form with “SUGAR RUSH” in the subject. I will personally send it to you by email along with the instructions to unlock the first lecture of my NeuroPackaging Masterclass.
This project is raising the standard. If one book helps even one creative move with more confidence and competence, then it has already done its work. The rest is in your hands.
